SOCIALS: SHARING IS CARING
Seeing Clearly
Learn to Wait on God
In the previous studies, we looked at discomfort, and then what it means to remain still when everything begins to break. And in the waiting, you endure discomfort, sit in stillness, but still not understand what God is developing if you don’t use discernment. So, the next step isn’t just waiting. It’s learning to see clearly while you wait.
Waiting creates space, and in that space, things begin to surface. Thoughts, emotions, interpretations. But not all of them are accurate. Because silence brings everything. Memories resurface, fears become louder, and assumptions begin to form. And if you’re not careful, you won’t follow what is true, but what you feel strongest.

Not everything you see is true
When your situation begins to shift, your perception often shifts with it. You might wonder, “Why is this happening?”, “Did I make a mistake?”, or “Is this a loss of direction?” And without clarity, it’s easy to misinterpret the moment. It’s important to recognize how limited our understanding truly is.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5
Our own understanding draws conclusions based on what it can see. But not everything is visible. And this is what leads many astray–misreading the process. God does not always explain what He is doing in real time. There are moments where something is being removed, realigned, or strengthened. And it may feel like loss, delay, or pressure. Without clarity, you will interpret refinement as failure. The process is not the problem, the perception of the process often is.
Seeing through the process (not at it)
In 2 Corinthians 5:7 we read “For we walk by faith, not by sight”, but this does not mean you ignore what is happening around us, or to us. It means you don’t interpret it at face value, either. Outwardly, things may look unstable, but inwardly, something is being built. James 1 told us that trials produce patience. And Romans 5 tells us that tribulation produces perseverance, character, and hope. But these outcomes cannot be seen at the beginning, they only became visible with time.
The difference between reaction and clarity
Most people react to what they see, but clarity doesn’t come from reaction. Rather, it comes from restraint. From allowing things to unfold without forcing interpretation too early. Without praying it away without context or faith. Without judging the entire puzzle based off one single piece. And this leads to misalignment. Not only with God, but in all aspects of our lives.
Rather than being immediate, clarity is something that requires development. It comes through alignment which, in this context, can come through scripture. Our fixed reference point. It doesn’t bend to emotion, or shift with circumstance. But, over time, it begins to correct the interpretations of what’s happening. Discernment must be practiced. And as it develops, your perception becomes steadier.
“But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.” Hebrews 5:14
The beginning of new sight
When clarity begins to form, something shifts. You no longer panic when things slow down, assume loss when something ends, or rush to fill the silence with noise. Instead, you begin to observe. Weighing what is happening rather than simply reacting. And in doing so, you step outside of the patterns that usually drive people. Clarity creates space between what happens and how you respond.
“He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.” Ecclesiastes 3:11
Closing thoughts
“A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.” Proverbs 16:9
Clarity is not the removal of uncertainty, it is the ability to remain steady within it. While you may not be seeing the bigger picture, you will begin to see enough to not move prematurely. The waiting, when used properly, will have taught you how to be still and sit in the silence. Now clarity teaches you how to remain grounded while things unfold.
