When it comes to our projects, Many Hands Light Work focuses on key areas spelled out in Scripture. Practical love for your neighbor. And because there are already so many organizations dedicated to service, we narrowed in on what was missing. In Matthew 25, we are told:
35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in, 36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.

When Christ returns, will He find us so doing? This got us thinking. It’s easier to serve brethen and go about our day. But serving outside of our comfort zone could enable growth. And that’s why we created PHOEBE, to serve as a hub for ongoing projects, and one hit wonders. We understand that works will not “buy” our salvation, but in James 14 we read:
14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
