Be Mine? Be His.
Valentine’s Day exposes how dependent this ‘love’ is on reciprocity. The expectation of return acts as a mirror reflecting our own desires, rather than the needs of others. And, when ‘love’ becomes a ledger of exchanges, we lose sight of the kind of love God gives.
Do We Share Our Miracles?
When we share the miracles that have happened to us they can be uplifting to others, encouraging, help them through tough times of their own, and help them keep in mind the healings and good works of God.
Resolution or Reflection?
The traditions of man found in our modern calendar demand resolution in the dead of winter, disconnected from both creation and Scripture. But God’s calendar, by contrast, moves with intent and preparation. In fact, the Biblical new year begins in the spring, shortly before Passover.
